The day 28th January, 2004, was a memorable day as India gives birth of a glittering women cricket star, named Shafali Verma in Rohtak, Haryana. From her childhood she was interested to play cricket and exposed a positive talent. She started playing by her brother’s bat and often played with neighbor boys. She also participated in various local torments. Then her father, Sanjeev Verma, noticed her talent and took her up to the coach Ashwani Kumar. After few days of training, Ashwani Kumar find out her cricket talent and began training rigorously. Finally, she got first chance to play for the Indian national women team in a T20I match against South Africa on 24 th September, 2019.
